Rumi (Taapsee) and Vicky (Vicky) are in love but when the latter gets cold-feet, she marries Robbie (Abhishek). 3. Hum Aapke Hai Koun (1994)

Hum Aapke Hai Koun is a timeless classic. The 1994 film traces the love story of Madhuri Dixit’s Nisha and Prem, played by Salman Khan. Nisha is Prem’s elder brother Rajesh’s sister-in-law. Pooja, Rajesh’s wife, is about to share the good news with her family but passes away in a tragic accident, leaving behind a baby.

Prem and Nisha’s family ask Nisha to marry Rajesh, for the sake of her nephew. Will Nisha agree?

Until Chak De! India released in theatres, not many Indian confidently could answer that field hockey is India’s national sport. Firebrand Shah Rukh Khan rewrote his ‘King of Romance’ image by playing a coach of Indian Women’s Hockey team in this 2007 film. Also involving the age-old India-Pakistan on-field rivalry, the movie makes for an entertaining watch even a decade after its release.
