And while several epic dramas on Indian television may have narrated and talked about his role in Ramayana, very few have touched upon his personal life, in detail. Kahat Hanuman…Jai Shri Ram is an upcoming And TV show digs deeper into the childhood and history of Lord Hanuman. 

Scheduled to go on the air on 7th January 2020, here are four reasons why you should catch the show. 

1. Lord Hanuman’s childhood 

Lord Hanuman was the son of Anjani and Kesari. But have you ever thought why this couple was chosen to be his parents, and not the other powerful deities present at that time? The show beautifully explains the back story of how Anjani conceived Hanuman. 

2. An ensemble cast 

The mythological show boasts of a stellar star cast. Actor Jiten Lalwani has been roped in to play Kesari, while Sneha Wagh shall essay the role of  Anjani. Little Ekagraha, will portray young Hanuman.

3. Explains why Lord Shiva chose to be born as a human

Sneha Wagh explains, “When I was offered the show, I asked the makers, ‘What do you plan on depicting differently ?’ I even asked them why they wanted me to play Anjani. The best part about this show is the love and devotion [it depicts]. There is a triangle between Lord Shiva, Anjani and Hanuman. It is a story weaved to depict why Lord Shiva took birth on earth as a human being.This was the first time he took a human form, and the viewers will get to understand the reasoning behind this and more. It is believed that Lord Shiva chose to take birth as Hanuman, for the sole purpose of understanding a bond between a mother and a child.”

4. A feel-good narrative

In the words of Jiten Lalwani, Kahat Hanuman…Jai Shri Ram will bring a smile on the faces of its viewers. It is a \feel-good show that can be watched with family. He also asserts that the audience would enjoy it, even if they miss a couple of episodes because it’s simply delightful.
