1. The Accidental Prime Minister

The Accidental Prime Minister is a 2019 Hindi biographical drama movie starring Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna, Suzanne Bernert and Aahana Kumra. Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and written by Mayank Tewari, the recent release is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru. The movie walks us through Dr. Manmohan Singh’s tenure as the Prime Minister of India.

For those unaware, Baru was Manmohan Singh’s media advisor and chief spokesperson (PMO) from May 2004 until August 2008.

2. Skyfire

ZEE5 and Shabina Khan (producer of blockbusters like Rowdy Rathore and Gabbar Is Back) have bought the rights to Aroon Raman’s book Skyfire. The collaboration will result in the making of India’s first-of-its-kind sci-fi web series Skyfire. Bollywood stars Prateik Babbar and Sonal Chauhan have been roped in for the upcoming project. It will be directed by Soumik Sen and feature Jisshu Sengupta in interesting roles.

3. Hutatma

Hutatma is a Marathi ZEE5 original series starring Anjali Patil, Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, Sachin Khedekar and Arif Zakaria. Adapted from Meena Deshpande’s novel of the same name, the web show narrates the story of how the state of Maharashtra came into existence with Bombay as its capital. Get ready to discover the epic story of the Samyukta Maharashtra Movement and the struggles of the Marathi Manus!

4. Parchhayee: Ghost Stories by Ruskin Bond

ZEE5 original web series Parchhayee brings to life the most bone-chilling horror tales of celebrated author Ruskin Bond. The episodes have starred the likes of Raima Sen, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Shakti Kapoor, Gauahar Khan amongst others and rise above other blood-smearing dramas with its suspense, chills and thrills.

5. The Final Call

The Final Call is a psychological thriller, a ZEE5 original that marks the National Award-winning actor Arjun’s debut in the digital space. The Paltan star plays a mentally troubled pilot who takes off with 300 passengers aboard, on a suicide-cum-murder mission. The digital drama is an adaptation of Priya Kumar’s novel ‘I Will Go With You: The Flight of A Lifetime.’

6. Faster Fene

Produced by Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh, Faster Fene is a Marathi crime thriller starring Amey Wagh, Parna Pethe, Girish Kulkarni, Siddharth Jadhav, and Dilip Prabhavalkar. The movie is based on the character created by author B.R Bhagwat. Banesh Fene, a sharp student, witnesses the death of a co-student during a medical entrance exam. Refusing to accept it as a case of suicide, Fene starts investigating the murder on his own and faces the wrath of a mafia boss. Can Fene outsmart the mafia boss with his speed and intelligence?

7. Natrang

Natrang is a 2010 Marathi drama film starring Atul Kulkarni and Sonalee Kulkarni. The National Award winning film is an adaption of a 1978 novel by the same name. The story revolves around the life of Guna, a labourer who loses his job and sets up a theatre company with his friends. He finds Naina, a female dancer, who completes his team. After tasting huge success, Guna also faces a lot of personal hardships but continues with his plays.
