1. On International Women’s Day last year, Saumya took to Twitter and wrote a powerful message, sharing her journey in the entertainment industry. To quote her words, the actress wrote, “They said I wouldn’t survive in the entertainment industry if I don’t have a godfather, they said good girls don’t make good heroines, they said you will get less work if you marry, they said it’s the end if you had a baby, and here I am defying all of them. Go beyond them. #HappyWomensDay2019”.

In an Instagram post, she shared an article about herself featured in a newspaper which she said and we quote, “If women can juggle work and home, why can’t men do it?” Saumya believes that women are capable of multi-tasking and even though it might be tough, they can endure all challenges that life throws at them.
3. Saumya became a mother on 14 January 2019. She gave birth to a baby boy, whom she named Miraan Singh Tandon. She took to Instagram and celebrated motherhood along with womanhood. As a message to all the ladies out there, she wrote, “This #womansday2019 I look at you and can’t believe I could create something as beautiful and precious like you. Women can create miracles and do the impossible. To all the wonderful women a shoutout to you all – just believe in yourself and do wonders #happywomansday2019.

4. Saumya being a health freak, is always concerned about her own well being as well as everyone else’s. In a newspaper article, she gave to tips to women who have become new mothers. She urged them to not shy away from breast-feeding and nurturing their newborn.
