Arbaaz Khan, who has his hands full with ZEE5 original series Poison, Pinch and Dabangg 3, recently sat down for an exclusive conversation with us. The actor, who turned baddie for his digital debut, made a splash as the stylish yet ruthless Antonio Verghese in the series. A new addition to his schedule is Dabangg 3, the Salman Khan-starrer which went on floors at the beginning of this month. However, if you ask producer Arbaaz, he is happy there was a gap between Dabangg 2 and the upcoming film in the franchise.
Speaking about the delay in Dabangg 3, Arbaaz exclusively told us, “Each one got busy with stuff. Salman got busy with some commitments. We were always looking at what we want to do, it took some time before we finalised what we exactly we wanted to make with Dabangg 3. There were a few things that happened, maybe the film could have come a little earlier than this. Nonetheless, I think the gap will work for us and we are happy we are coming after this gap.”
Prod him about his next catchy treat for fans of Dabangg series, Arbaaz replied in an affirmative. Lo and behold fans, after Munni Badnaam and Fevicol Se, another item number might just come rolling your way! However, Arbaaz said that he will have to wait for things to officialise and refrained from spilling more tea.
During the media interaction at press conference for Poison, Arbaaz had asserted that Dabangg 3 is a huge responsibility. “I wouldn’t say this (Poison) was easy but, that project (Dabangg 3) requires more attention from my side because I am working as an actor and a producer in it. I also look at Salman’s co-ordination and all that. While working in Poison, I just need to focus on my character. Whereas, hosting a talk show is like a breeze. I finish shooting each episode of that show in one or two hours, so it’s not such a big thing. But I absolutely agree that Dabangg 3 is a big responsibility,” added the Hello Brother star.
Besides a new film and maiden web venture, Arbaaz is putting his hosting skills on display with a new chat show. It is focused around social media and trolls and has seen the likes of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Varun Dhawan, Sunny Leone etc make an appearance.
Coming back to Dabangg 3, Salman and Sonakshi both return to the franchise to reprise their respective roles – Chulbul Pandey and Rajjo. In fact, the hit machine of Bollywood has even shot for a song for his upcoming film.
