1. Kamal Hassan
The legendary actor is always known to experiment with his looks. In his directorial debut Chachi 420 (1997), the actor did it again as he got it right playing an elderly lady and how. No one could ever match the body language of a woman so perfectly as he did in this one.
2. Aamir Khan
Being referred to as Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist, he had to nail this avatar. The superstar did an item song Dole Dole Dil Dole from film Baazi (1995) in a woman’s getup. He was nothing less than perfect in playing this part. He even went on to feature in multiple TV advertisements playing a female character.
Whenever there’s a mention of male stars who dressed as female characters, you simply cannot forget Govinda’s role in Aunty No. 1 (1998). The King of Comedy left everyone in splits with his unmatched comic timing and not to forget his hilarious woman avatar. The actor even appeared in female getup in his earlier films like Raja Babu (1994) and Shola Aur Shabnam (1992).
4. Akshay Kumar
Much before his other contemporaries, Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Kumar was seen dressing like a girl in his popular action suspense thriller, Khiladi (1992). He along with his co-star Deepak Tijori surely provided comic relief for the viewers with this funny woman avatar of them in the film.
5. Shah Rukh Khan
The King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan surprised everyone with his ‘sexy’ female avatar in film Duplicate (1998). It was an integral scene in the film where his villainous character Manu Dada dresses in disguise to kill one of his enemies. Isn’t that interesting?
6. Salman Khan
Yes! Even the blockbuster machine of Bollywood couldn’t escape dressing as a female on the big screen. Salman was seen dressing up as a girl in director Shirish Kunder’s Jaan-E-Mann (2006).
7. Riteish Deshmukh
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that actor Riteish Deshmukh’s woman avatar in Apna Sapna Money Money (2006), not only won Anupam Kher’s (in the film) but also everyone’s hearts. He had also dressed as a female in Sajid Khan’s Humshakals (2014).
