Rajeev Khandelwal played the role of a 2-star Michelin chef in the ZEE5 Original Series, Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala. This series recently won the High Five On ZEE5 Award for being the most watched series in the last six months. These awards were held online and we connected with Rajeev over video call where he talked to Bhawana Somaaya, before answering questions from fans online too.
Here’s a promo of his role in Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala.
While accepting the award for the show, Rajeev mentioned that while he knows how to cook, he doesn’t know how to cook like a professional. He still had had to learn how to look convincing in the role. He remembered one scene which he says was the funniest as well his most memorable one while shooting. Rajeev remembered the scene where he was supposed to break two eggs at the same time, while emoting for an emotional scene with Divyanka’s character.
He remembers being nervous because even though he practiced it, he wasn’t sure how he would break the eggs while delivering his lines. However, he managed to get it right on the first try itself. However, something went wrong with the camera and he ended up having to take three or four more takes to get the scene right.
