The film tells the story of Devdas, who falls in love with his childhood friend Paro. His father however doesn’t approve of the relationship and sends him away to Calcutta, where he meets dancer Chandramukhi, who develops feelings for him.
Devdas is torn between Chandramukhi’s adoration and his undying love for Paro.

2. Ram Teri Ganga Maili
The film tells the story of Ganga Singh (Mandakini) and Narendra Sahay (Rajiv Kapoor) that fall in love when the latter visits her hometown for a project. The two spend an intimate night, post which Narendra leaves but with a promise to return.
Narendra doesn’t show up and Ganga learns she is pregnant. She sets out to look for him and then follows a trying time for Ganga where she faces immense hardships.
